FRESH&BOLD Architectural Award
The Fresh & Bold Architectural Award(FBAA) evolved out of two decades
of curating the Days of Architecture Sarajevo — a festival that became a
meeting point for fresh conversations and bold ideas in architecture,
interventions, spatial installations, digital environments, publications,
or even lifestyle brands. Each award cycle is structured into a set of distinct categories, bringing together works that challenge conventions and propose new ways of imagining the world around us.
The award recognizes projects that are brave in concept, precise in execution, and responsive to the complexities of their context. FBAA focuses on a region defined more by fluid cultural overlaps than strict national borders — where the Dinaric Alps meet the Mediterranean, where Central European order intersects with the improvised ingenuity of Southeastern Europe. It is an imagined space of contradictions and hybridities, layered histories, and evolving futures. While architecture remains the foundation of the award, FBAA also acknowledges architectural thinking wherever it emerges — in public interventions, spatial installations, digital environments, publications, or even lifestyle brands.
Each award cycle is structured into a set of distinct categories, bringing together works that challenge conventions and propose new ways of imagining the world around us.
The Fresh & Bold Architectural Award (FBAA) is presented in five categories:
Free & Wise, Digital & Gold, Sharp & Slow, Local & Loud, and Poise & Power.These categories are not defined by building typology or scale, but by the way of thinking and approach behind each project.The 16 best projects will be presented at the Days of Architecture on Saturday, 27.09., and the awards will be given after the presentations.

95eur-for selected projects at the exhibition, applying for selection is free of charge
covers the cost of printing the posters,
the cost of setting up and organising the exhibi-
tion, and the expenses of organising the FBAjury.
